Daniel is the Managing Director of Potential Inspection Services Pte Ltd. The company is a leading bunker surveying company that is accredited under the Accreditation Scheme for Inspection Bodies administered by the Singapore Accreditation Council (SAC) while Daniel is a certified bunker surveyor licensed by the Maritime Port Authority of Singapore.
Daniel has over 20 years of surveying experience across the supply chain of petrochemical and marine fuel delivery. His work covered various aspects, including, attending to crude, petroleum product and bunker tanker discharge/loading works at refineries, terminals and OPL locations; blending operations at terminals and shipboard; ship-to-ship operations for major oil traders at OPL and refinery loading operation/loss control audit for crude oil discharge.
He has also acted as owner’s cargo representative in both quantity and quality assurance assignments. As an appointed Investigator Surveyor for cargo dispute, Daniel assessed the merit of demurrage claim pertaining to delay. Previously as the Regional Manager of a company based in Taiwan, Daniel had functional responsibility for the business in international sales.
Daniel was appointed as the Chairman of the IBIA Asia Branch from 2012 – 2013, having been an executive committee member of IBIA Asia Branch since 2008 and assuming the vice chair from
September 2010 to August 2011.
Today, having been re-elected, Daniel continues to contribute to the IBIA Asia Branch as an Executive Member.
